Oh I have a wonderful soft spot for Sparkadia. They’re better at intimate gigs I feel. Plus Alex is a mate of mine, but for their first record, Post Cards was quite wonderful.

The three times I saw their shows outside of festivals were at the Hopetoun (twice) and the Brass Monkey (once) which are all intimate venues.

I found them too… inanimate on stage. This is nothing against their personalities since I don’t know them, but I’ve always thought them fairly boring live and would much rather see other bands.

i really don’t like australian music, i only like australians that are in bands from other countries.

for example, michael guy chislett in the academy is… and dan young in this providence

that’s because australia doesn’t have pop punk.
